Cold, Swift and Clean
Sitting in the darkness
Somewhere between life and after that
I sharpen my blade with the cruelest intentions
Until summoned to dispatch
A bright fire at my feet
My list begins to glow
And as the embers dwindle down
Your name begins to show
I spread my raven wings
And take to the sky
I have come to take you in my arms
Don’t be afraid to die
The wind flicks this midnight shroud
Which hides my heartless chest
Nothing beats inside these bones
But echoes of the past
The hollowness of my body and eyes
Resemble the thirst of my blade
Always feeding an endless hunger
To the scythe I am a slave
Creeping closer
You begin to feel my presence
My icy breath upon your neck
I drain you of your essence
You turn and look me in the face
As my blade tears your heart in two
Your soul moves from your body
And blood pours from the wound
Take my hand
And leave the corpse you once controlled
Cold, swift and clean
I have come to take you home
Somewhere between life and after that
I sharpen my blade with the cruelest intentions
Until summoned to dispatch
A bright fire at my feet
My list begins to glow
And as the embers dwindle down
Your name begins to show
I spread my raven wings
And take to the sky
I have come to take you in my arms
Don’t be afraid to die
The wind flicks this midnight shroud
Which hides my heartless chest
Nothing beats inside these bones
But echoes of the past
The hollowness of my body and eyes
Resemble the thirst of my blade
Always feeding an endless hunger
To the scythe I am a slave
Creeping closer
You begin to feel my presence
My icy breath upon your neck
I drain you of your essence
You turn and look me in the face
As my blade tears your heart in two
Your soul moves from your body
And blood pours from the wound
Take my hand
And leave the corpse you once controlled
Cold, swift and clean
I have come to take you home
