A good deal
Oh boy they sure have quite the racket going on here
good for them in a way
but me I am just browsing
perusing the flimsy tops
that are sewn together shoddily
and already coming apart at the seams
with a pricetag of almost $50 bucks to boot
over on the other side of this urban extravaganza
one can find cheap and garish jewelry for $28 a piece --
made in china --I don't think so -- I get the real thing at
pawn shops or garage sales for under half that
the sandals I bought for $5 they're
shilling for $20 here
admittedly the atmosphere is nice
storebought bohemian chic and
the coolest music blasting from their speakers
I see people shopping here
but it won't be me
I'll be over on the other side of town
looking for a steal
because I am quite frugal
and just love a good deal.... :)

Yeah -- trying to keep up with the Joneses is never a good idea in my opinion, but what really shocks me is what little value you get in comparison to what you are paying in some of these stores...... thank you for liking my poem enough to comment and for enjoying the dialogue with myself.... ♡♡♡ :)

Window shopping is fun and I enjoy perusing the aisles to see what is happening out there stylewise -- not that I follow trends -- I make my own style to suit myself, but to get inspiration and perhaps come across the odd sales item.... it does not happen often in these kind of stores, but I have found good deals even there very occassionally -- most if the time I 'll be on tbe other side of town though.... hehehe.... ♡♡♡ ;)

I wasn' really thinking about the "new world order" when I wrote this, but it is an interesting thought......
I have always had an independent streak and it is just in my nature to do my own thing -- as far as the new world order, I have read different theories online, so in the end we will just have to wait and see how it all shakes down.

Well political actors have used the word in a way that alarms me; however Curtis Mayfield used the term in a much more positive way as the title of his last collection of songs and the name of one track. Great release!
