the ones with night wings

with wings hanging down
feeling no need to move
as people pass bearing frowns
just waiting lose
soon they'll all start to fall
she steps toward the edge

hopes and dreams fade away
getting lost in the darkness
on the ground she now lay
the body now heartless
contiues to move
threw dust and haze

most of her was lost long ago
there she stood no love or home
she always walks on the low
constantly staying hidden and alone
no has ever really seen her
and very few even know half her story

as she sings on the ledge
"they fall so slowly"
"as they crash down below"
"threw the sky and water"
"they still stand alone"

"they will disappear"
"and be forgotten"
"hopeless"
"helpless"
"and rotten"

she then turns and looks
spreads her wings
and disapears in the mist

i turn to my friend
and ask "who was that?"
my friend simply turns and walks away
and says
"i wonder where my friend went?"

"they fall so slowly"
"as the crash down below"
"threw the sky and water"
"they still stand alone"

"i have disapeared"
"and was forgotten"
"left hopeless"
"left helpless"
"and left rotten"

a black winged one i am
and forever will be
