Alter

It seems the world put a spanner,
Big spanner,
In the works to alter
My alter
Universe.
The one I tried to form
for you. I can try to hate it,
But perhaps it saw another way
from it's tilted view point.
And the world keeps spinning
And I’m so dizzy.
My steel nail fell
Between the cracked tiles
Of my Jager washed
Mind. I don’t mind.
I’ll keep, like frozen bread,
Crawling floors of a backstreet
Bagel shop
Looking for a nail
Between the dirty tiles
Because I love you. I don’t mind.
I’ll stay, a boat tied to the mooring,
Crawling sandy shores to
Tidal waves
Hoping you’re not lost on a rock somewhere -
Where I can’t find you,
I don't mind.
I’ll wait, with this weight as if drowning,
Under the pier
Looking out
On rolling waves,
My precious, steel nail.
I only needed you
To hold up my shelf.
It seems the world
Put a spanner,
Big spanner,
In the works to alter
My alter
Universe.
The one I tried to form
for you. [/font]
