A Beautiful Life

When the stars and the moon collide
you know you've angried the gods tonight
but is there a God if we all don't believe?
it could all be as simple as Adam and Eve
but Adam and Eve didn't fail to sin
now we're all in this world failing to commit
we go through pain and suffering for days
want to snap our fingers, make it all go away
everyone suffers the pain of love
sometimes it's not as beautiful as that  white feathered dove -
shot and killed
but why we ask
why this, why that
we don't really know we just go along with it
some of us decide to quit
and just like that,
a blast
to the head
you're dead
but are things really better?
No.
it's been raining all week
as if the sky is sad
someone took it's tears and poured them out a glass
onto the earth
no longer feeling the comfort of the warmth
of the sun
in the the spring
the birds in the trees cease to sing
it's a sad life
when no one smiles
but sometimes in order to be happy, you have to go the extra mile
the world is complicated and everyone has some type of strife
but even through all the hardships, you can't forget it's a beautiful life
