Silenced

As I lie in bed, I suddenly wake in the heat of the night. I get a funny feeling like I am being watched... like an intense adrenalin rush. I feel sweat trickling down my brow, and I try to move my hand to wipe it off, but I notice I cannnot for it is restrained against my bedposts. Writhing impatiently, my legs are restrained as well. My heart begins to pound hard in my chest as if it is the last-second countdown for a deadly bomb. Badum. Badum. Badum.

"Hello..." I whisper.

All appears quiet as I look around the room, searching for any sign of movement. But then I see a flicker of light, his eyes as he gets closer. They are an intense green. I feel as if he can see into my soul, delve into my darkest of fantasies. No words are spoken. No sound is made, save for our breathing.

He saunters to the bedside now. Teasingly slowly he bring it in front of me. The knife glints as he turns it, the sharpness like a hushed whisper. Our gazes meet again as he turns my head, trailing the blade along my neck. Slowly he brings his face to mine, kissing my lips gently as he leaves his mark. My whimper is caught by his lips as the blade slices me. Swiftly the pain came, and slowly it stings. I feel bitten by the serpent, still and silenced by his corrupting presence.
