Image for the poem Core

Core

Beyond the cold climates weathered storm front warnings
opening old gates, poppy fields over hills, it's beautiful,
whispers the wind, cries through flowing locks in shallow rivers
crystal complexions cooling the temperament on melting ice
maidens dripping on daisy crown coronations in daylights fanfare
shimmer, warming the core like the sun just imploded within my heart.
