"Recognize"

          
           
Having never shared this in a public forum
You most likely have not heard of this observation
This is Psychology 101, according to me *grin*
             
The label chosen, years ago, 'Immediate Recognition Characteristic' (IRC)
All possess it, some demonstrate it more than others
We all routinely reveal its existence
             
You may now be thinking
'What is this IRC, something VP has conjured in his imagination'
I submit to you this reality

Should a lady buy a beautiful red gown
to wear for a large gathering at a dinner party
When she arrives, what does she immediately recognize
Every lady in a red gown

If a man purchases a new black Porsche (or other car bike or truck)
As he drives it away from the showroom
what will he immediately recognize
Every black vehicle, (like his) on the road

When a woman or man, young or old, wears a certain hairstyle
as they go through a typical day
what will they immediately, mentally or verbally, acknowledge
Every man or woman with the same hairstyle

So, in life, when we immediately find fault, criticize, or correct another
This immediate capability comes from only one source
Our IRC, whereby we have first possessed this fault
or previously committed the same error, 'We first owned it'

Let us recognize our Immediate Recognition Characteristic
May we first acknowledge our flaws, then be slow to ridicule
Knowing we must first possess these traits
which capture our 'immediate' attention
