Was our love real?

My heart beats constantly when I hear your name.
Does yours do the same?
or do your eyes start to wonder,
When doubts about us you start to ponder.

You are having doubts if we are made for each other,
Even though I tell you that I don't want another.
So you ask me,"How long before we're through,"
But, all I can say is, "The answer to that is up to you."

Because it doesn't matter if I stay or not.
Because my heart and soul are the things you got.

But, I do love you for you,
That much I can say is true.
Did you love me for me.
Or just the person you imagined me to be.

So, please answer this question if you may.
To put an end to my love stuck days.
Was the love we felt for one another real?
Or was it just a wonderful cheap thrill?
