A Last Cacophonous Sounding ...(entered in the Interpretive Art Comp.)

The essence of one's existence,
tied to marionette strings
directed to “danse de rapide”,
barely able to breathe
inside this flagrant, yet fragrant
resistance

Words, barely spoken
lips mimic motion
but never once heard
the melody of my heart
lest I rhyme, beats skip time
Behind the oil-paint and mask,
I mime the "walk of life".......

…..can you see me?

“For your entertainment pleasure sir...”,

...I pirouette,  plie', ..s'il vous plaît ?
spinning round and round
faster than the speed of sound
until pen and ink bleed
tragically
upon my linen canvas...

...will you read me?

Crucifixion,
pierced by steely sword
deep between my thighs
"fullfilingness first finale...." my reward ?
     death comes quickly now
     en la petite mort
my spirit soars beyond brilliant, blue skies
to the heavens I fly

leaving this beautiful, tragic mess
somewhere far behind.....

….can you see me?

I am finally free....
