"The Unwinnable War"
Never able to learn why
he couldn't ever win...
The man destined himself
to live the same mistakes,
over and over again
I see through eyes weary
and dimmed, with vision
obscured by silent whims...
Desires and passions over
which I'll never relent
Some things go quietly and
never put up a fight but
others deep-seeded, never
die
It's beguiling to one's own
heart to not think this to be
truthful and meditation on
these things will prove to
offer insight into the soul...
For therein is the soil of the
earth and from within its
bowels all things into this
world are birthed
he couldn't ever win...
The man destined himself
to live the same mistakes,
over and over again
I see through eyes weary
and dimmed, with vision
obscured by silent whims...
Desires and passions over
which I'll never relent
Some things go quietly and
never put up a fight but
others deep-seeded, never
die
It's beguiling to one's own
heart to not think this to be
truthful and meditation on
these things will prove to
offer insight into the soul...
For therein is the soil of the
earth and from within its
bowels all things into this
world are birthed
