Hades Rising

He rises once again
staff on hand, his eyes wander
at the world he owns
once domain of life and living

Gaia, the goddess of splendours
of blooms, woods and waterfalls
has long cried her tears
of sorrow at man's irreverence

Hades in mocking mirth
sees his minions casting darkness
on souls and wits of humanity
revenge on fellow born of Titans

He thinks of Zeus
and his seabound brother
they fought their father
together once, for power

The power of them
his beloved brothers have waned
but death still lives
Hades reign supreme...

He laughs loud
as Cerberus barks and howls
they walk together in the cloud
of the various sounds of death.
