Save Me

You are the God who freed me.
You freed me from my ignorance
and stupidity.
You are the LORD who saved me
from fear and superstition.
I was a slave to demons
in chains unseen.
You send your Son to die
for me.
You send your Soldier, Patrick,
to fight for me.
The only sacrifice
that you desire
is my love and obedience
so I will give it willingly
to you, O LORD.
And I thank you
for sending someone
who makes me worthy
in your eyes.
