"Jackpot"
Last night I played slot machines
Megabucks and others
The largest of jackpots ten million plus
Why play for something smaller
I pulled the One Arm Bandit
Nothing, then pulled again
Three dollars per play is no big deal
when convinced you're going to win
Then it happened
as I knew it would
Three reels aligned
'Jackpot, this is good'
Six million after taxes
Wealthy at last, so frickin' cool
Called friends and family to share the news
They cursed my name when told, 'April Fool'
