I KNOW SHADOWS WELL
Through doorways in rainfall.
Bare branches and stars.
The better the more painful.
I always know where you are.
Through portals of darkness.
Voices in twisted tongue.
No castle no fortress.
The shadows will always come.
I know you too well
I know where you are.
The colors you bleed out.
Your fingertips of scars.
In breath of words in snowfall.
Like mirrors in the sky.
I can only pray alone.
For that beautiful moment you die.

Haunting....Ominous...
My dear friend, I can feel the poet/narrator's poignant, almost desperate longing to be released from the torment......within.
"In breath of words in snowfall"....this line creates such vivid imagery.
Metaphorically, and symbolically,shadows seem to convey a sense of either intended, tranquil sheltering,or foreboding distress. You have truly captured that feeling of un-relenting discomfort--
( As we each are aware of what the shadows can bring......)
