"Senorita"

  While traveling today into town
Beside the road, lights flashing
A disabled car and lady with a frown

Park behind her, desire to do something
Approach, extend a hand, she looks up
Petite senorita, all five feet nothing

Her hand so small, soft but fit
She thanks me, still frustrated
'Hundreds have passed' she says with a hiss

Tells me her problem with a worried tone
'The right front tire is flat
It's terrible, I have no phone'

Spare is flat but I offer a fix
'I'll have it repaired then return'
Her eyes sparkle, a bright smile on her lips

Wheel and tire I quickly load
Then suggest she stay with her car
'Alone by the road it will likely get towed'

Soon I am back, and she is giddy
Happy to see me with her spare
Knows few who care within the city

All is well, she's ready to go
Offers to pay, but I refuse
She gives me her number, wishes to show

Her gratitude and relief are obvious to see
She invites me to call, a dinner, her treat
Dial it I shall, who knows what may be in store for me
