SEX ON THE BEACH

(Not the hit song by T-Spoon, although this poem mentions it.)

The summer’s hot, so is our love;
Blazing sun and blue skies above,
While underfoot the sand is warm
Enough to please the naked form
When our shared lust bids us get down
(When tides won’t overrun and drown).

Joking: “Sand gets everywhere!”
We thus make love in open air.
Upon the sand we “move the earth”
To music of approaching surf
And seagulls crying overhead
(Perhaps calling: “Should be in bed!”)

When we get up, suggestive hint
Is left by one’s bottom’s imprint
And two spots where, in passion’s play,
Our feet have kicked the sand away.
The next tide can wipe out these signs
Of realised carnal designs.

It brings a knowing smile to each
Of us to hear “Sex on the beach”,
When, young, naked and free of care,
We took its challenge to go there!
