Silent Call...

I heard you call me
Alone behind my barricade I heard you call
But yet I closed my mind, I closed my heart
Pretended for a second
There was no you calling me beyond that wall
So many things restricted me
Kept me there, kept your words away from me
But still you called
I felt the space between us shift
You shook my world within my sanctuary
You shifted me
And then, I could not breathe,
I could not think
My reservations fell apart
I whispered on my breath for you to see
You really were a part of me
Murmured words I knew you wouldn't hear
As I held my breath, so tight
Listened for the echoed cries from you
The only call I heard
My Breathless words resounding in the atmosphere
