Stop next time you drive past that house
the one where someone you know lives,
could be the last time you drive by and they are there,
alive, and waiting for you, to just stop this once
say hello, perhaps a hug and then carry on,
it's actually easier than driving by
sometimes that guilt of all the times you kept going
and never stopped catches up to you,
and you find yourself in front of an empty house
where someone you knew lived, way before they died
all those times you just kept on going, thinking tomorrow
and tomorrow was to late, no more hellos,
only a very silent goodbye.
