 Oceans heave, billow with temptation
Winds blow, howl with desire

Though built with good intention
Mighty vessels stray off course

Violently tossed by sea and gale
Lose their way, seek another beacon

X and Y cruise into relationships or marriage
Plotted on a course of monogamy, care, trust

Love, to navigate churning waters
Hope, to ignore the raging tempest

Failing to realize, they'll be torn apart
Damaged by a storm in the sea of life

Not because of who we are, nor lack of effort
Because of what we are, how we are built
