Sunday Reflection
Suspended in the bedroom, and utter dimness
my wristwatch is a nightsky that has got twelve
glowing stars, the hands are the milky-way showing
twenty fie minutes to six.
it is Sunday time is slower to day normally,
had it been a Monday it would have been half
past eight.
I hear the old man in the flat above mine getting up
he often do that in the night, must be the ine, oni ce
he got up five times in one night, so why should
I bother about his incontinence.
I met him in the lift once he is thin and has the disturbed
look of one whose only companion is death´s shadow,
and he ignored my cheerful…Good Morning!
Mind, it was a gloomy morning nothing to be jubilant about,
the awkward silence in a lift bothers me and I must restrain
myself not telling a joke or singing loudly as it is my only chance
to have a captive audience.
I stand by the window it is still dark, but the petrol station
By the corner, is lit up, or perhaps it is a spaceship that
has landed to take the old man home.
