My Plan
How I long to be by you side, when you have tears to dry your eyes.
To hold you close and keep you calm, through all of life’s whelms and whams.
To hold your hand and guide you through, to be the sun when you are blue.
To hold your heart and share your grief, whether the days are long or brief.
To make love to you when the day ends, wake in your arms when the sun rises again.
Just to be in your presence, close enough to inhale your essence.
To feel you breathe upon my skin, and feel you inside me, deep within.
This is my plan forevermore, always there for you, always yours.
