Poetae Tyrannidem

the sun beats down upon the unshielded land & the
malicious, cascading oceans, & scorches the earth.
the moon bears witness. and she weeps.

we are the scribes of nomadic tribes, wandering
the deserts of humanity, recording the disasters
of history and the agonies of our ill-meditated lives.
we seek the vagaries of love in the dewy face of the
rose, only to be embraced by her thorny vines; left
bleeding from extant wounds.

our thirst for lust is greater than our thirst for the sweet
waters of the infrequent oasis.

how many women can a man dominate, a man who
makes violent & accursed poems? to captivate a
woman who is enraptured by malevolent fantasies,
who desires the yoke of kajira. the scourge of a
leather-tongued whip across her pallid ass; the vile
cane spoken harshly upon her quivering thighs.

daughter of Persephone, who knows the flowering fields
of Paradise, & the lamentable corridors of Hell. cerise
welts & capsaisin tears are the cosmetics that intensify
your beauty, & satiate my savage need. can your passion
endure through countless hours of amorous abuse?

if you run away, I will hunt you.
if you hide, I will find you.
you are the testament of my terrible rage,
and upon your flesh, I will carve my legacy…
