"Until I make it."

Freer than I do, you walk; it's true
But I know that the shoes you
wear, only fit you too

And if you would have gone
through my tests, you may have
not made it this far

I pray you could have but only
time can prove

Cause we all go through the fire
and are all tested
And all that I've faced has taught
me lessons, just as it has you

So lean my way and give me
wisdom from what you have
gleaned
Cause I also want to stand
on the highest mountains and
smile with a soul free and
unbound

But if I fall then take me by
the hand and pull me close
so you can give me words
of encouragement lest I
succumb to the darkness
of bitter self-loathing and
rise no more

But still I wait for my
change to come
When my chains are
loosed and I soar into
the Son
