Abstract Artist
I'm an abstract artist.
I love Picasso, with his geometric genius.
Pollack putting his soul, his very essence into his work.
Cig. butts loose change, for texture it was the beginning of green art.
My green art a bit different.
Bits of broken mirrors, glass, some bottle caps.
Lovingly placed, conjuring faces from trash.
Some bubble wrap fastened to the canvas,
Painted over gives the painting great texture.
I can't seem to part with my works.
Each one a diary of my psyche.
Each telling a story, some pain, some victory.
I use hot glue in some of my paintings.
Intersecting, disecting lines.
All speak of my frame of mind.
A tangled spider web at times.
Words written like a cross work puzzle.
Across a painting in different hues of purple and blue.
The words in conflict, just like my mood.
I love painting abstract.
Though like so many artists find.
People cling to something they like.
Feed me more burgers with cheese.
Who cares about originality?
I do, so i'll continue to paint.

This reads like a guide light to your creative process. I am struck by the part where you write that you hate to give up what you have created. That is a bit different from every artist I have had the opportunity to chat with!
Identifying Picasso and Pollack is a sweet touch for those are two greats that anyone can relate to!

I know some people who try to develop a relationship with the person who obtains it so it is a bit like a child who grows up that can be visited...

am a painter. I dislike the term "abstract" and use "non-representational"instead. Not in general just in refernce to my own work, I would't want to remove the term for sake of dialogue, because its a tough road talking on this art as is. I dislike abstract because all painting is abstract. Regardless of how resolved is the rendering, it will always only be colored mud. Its not an apple, Its manipulated mud that through will can quantum leap communicate itself as mud...pretty magical. I try to use this fascination itself as the subject of my work.....so blah, blah blah- i enjoyed your write for the glimpse into your creativity....oh, what is "green"? I'm not familiar with that term

I enjoyed your sharing with me your insight as a painter..green art means basically recycling objects and using them in art..ty for stopping in..peace Crim :)
