Amen Moments  (Re-Edited)

Would you still think me beautiful If you saw my morning face,                                    
If you caught me smiling at you, would you smile right back?                                  
                                 
Mine would tell it's own story I'm sure; One long sleepless              
night spent wrapped up in our love embrace, with my thoughts              
still echoing love sounds we breathed out a few hours before,              
like the gentle breeze, I remember, languidly moving the              
curtain, I remembered it all, from the open window, staring up at              
the night sky, praying the moon to stay, to make the time and              
space we had together right there and then meaningless, many              
things prayed for, gazing upon your sleeping form,                    
many things..                                  
But all would be untrue as this is not foretold.                                  
           
For this is me here, here and now, in love,                                    
This is who I am; where I shall remain so.                                    
And you will always think me beautiful.                                    
                                 
This is why I'll say a silent Amen when the sun eventually rises,                                  
my prayers always to be answered with your morning smile returning to me.
