Deep in the Wood

deep in the woods
there are shadows, haunting fear
dont make the slightest noise
if they catch you
you'll see the Devil near

all alone in the dark
dearest little Gretel
when did you fall apart?
where's your brother to hold your hand
your lover to ease your aching heart?

thinking of you
i feel my deepest fear come alive
you were the wicked witch in the forest
joyously letting my childhood die
no, dont soothe me with words
dont comfort me with lies
you violated all of me
filled my days with hate and fright

just a little girl
facing the horrors of the world
just a little girl
it's her against the world

Never, will you touch me again!
disowned, in my eyes you are dead
and though my feet are concrete
and my lungs are lead
i'm still seeing red
bright as the blood on my wrist

alone in the wood
little Gretel, dont you cry
its just the howl of the wind
the fear of the night

wicked witch just go away
dont you dare come back another day
i see the evil between your legs
the lust in your eyes
the pain growing thicker
as you work for youth's demise

leave her alone!
hurry little Gretel, hide from his sight
the devil cant hurt you
just dont look him in the eye

i'll stand in his path
clutching flame in my hand
a cold chill for my wrath
and to think you call yourself a man

for the love of God....

i was once a little girl
princess of my innocent world
i was once a little girl
now i'm alone against this world

i was once a little girl
another gretel in the wood
nobody there to save me

oh who ever could...?
