I see you but I hear me
Asking for answers to these life long questions
Rips the insides right out of me;
Piece by piece ever so slowly
I just stare,I can't answer her..
The hurt, the pain, man,..
I watch as it consumes my daughter!
Her little lips tremble before me
Her voice so weak while she speaks
I'm watching the tears pour down her checks
It tortures my soul to watch as my baby girl weeps
This time is difference
Cause the dude ain't even her father
I should have listened to my damn intuition
Why'd I have to be so greedy?
'twas a risk
I never had their permission..
Just wasn't mine to take
I clearly forgot that's there's more than just my heart to break
