Distant love of mine
as close to me as you are far away
you transcend the expanse of
my "time out of mind"
and keep my heart filled with love
for only you
How is it that you do that which you do?
How your words wrap themselves around me
they protect me
keeping the forces of life from tearing us apart
In the moments that I feel
all hope is gone
I meditate in the beauty of your name
finding strength, softly spoken
I carry on
Filling my needs, feeding my dreams
Satisfying my every desire, you are my star
shining down upon my existence
from a distance
you heal me......
you're so far away my love
my longing, the sole object
of this man's desire.......
secrets of the heart
burn like a tapered candle
day by day
minute by minute.....
…...I keep holding on
until this
distance is but a faded memory
and we are one
…..only distance my love
