Healing Involves Pain

healing first starts with cleaning the wound
sometimes you must take hot water and wash the scab away
you have to dig to get the poisons out
and once the blood is flowing again the rest of the poison
will flow out of your blood stream
some people take a thread of love and bind the wound closed
but others prefer a different rougher way
fire can create a new wound but can also make the bleeding stop
with gentle care after the initial burn
you cover it with something cool and sweet
and let this final healing begin
but you have to take the bandage off several times before it finally heals
