and writing just for the purpose of writing,
waiting for the TV remote if I'm honest.

Got the house to myself on the weekend
and she's bound to come out and say hi,
a self-destructive side of me,

everyday,
won't go away,
so I can curl up and sleep
all day long,
screw the remote

Insomnia is some wicked curse.
Give me a pillow and sleeping pills
so I may rain down
from the light in the sky
and curl on the dirt,
snoring like a sloth
because there is nothing better to do.
