Damn The Day
Forget me
as I have forgotten you,
the black is grey
the red, pink
everything has faded
this love,
no exception,
forever,
was just a poetic expression
not a chain like word
binding you to me,
infinitely
fire burns,
then it smolders,
then its gone
no more,
over,
the past,
the end.
as I have forgotten you,

everything has faded
this love,
no exception,

was just a poetic expression
not a chain like word
binding you to me,
infinitely

no more,
over,
the past,
the end.

Damn cool poem... your words lament the acute bitterness of a loveless heart. I feel it, every piercing line. You definitely have a way of finding the exact words. Dig it's directness too... right between the eyes.

Love's Illusions---------
so pervasive...un[a]voidable...
you compacted 'the feeling' most well, dear.
I Love You*
*(that's what is called 'cold comfort', right?)

Lot of feeling in this,
I love the strong ending too.

Just a poetic expression. Not a chain like word.
Forever is a feeling. Too bad emotions aren't promises.

I love that the reader can relate these words to either a lover or friend...a person they were disappointed by.
