Happy New Year one & all

This past year
has been a test...
a challenge...
A heart felt
Mountain to climb...


With all its death..
disgrace & debauchery

I am glad to be rid of this year
2013....
yet I've been humbled by it.
brought deep & low
to a place I didnt think
I would recover from

I feel awakend in a way
I never knew was possible
because I survived the pain
this year brought me

Now...
I look humbly into the eyes
of 2014...
Worthy of the joy it is sure to bring
I usher it in
I call it down
I welcome
this new Moon
this new year.
