Spring
Little buds of life are starting to pop from the ground like stars in the night, each and every day it seems like more come. When the sun rises it promises warmth and new beginnings; yesterday, no matter how great, is forgotten. Soon, the lonely little petals won't be frost bitten, but sunkissed.
Lovers walk the streets, holding hands and kissing passionately on park benches. The fresh scent of flowers mixes with chilly morning air, making everything, every twinkle of light that much better
Children's laughter floats on the breeze and wraps around my whole being. Whoever could not be mesmerized by that sweet sound, I do not know.
Fresh produce is sold on the streets, and even the glummest of spirits could be lifted higher by the echoing marketer's call. People swooshing passed, all going somewhere, all at one time. Someone bumps into me, and for a moment time stands still.
Sometimes a light spring shower can be heard from outside my window. Little splatters of water hit my window, and teardrop down like honey. I often stop and watch to see my reflection in the fog; pass the time.
