Ghost

Part I

Ghost

I know you can see me
Standing before you
With everything Ive got
That makes me who I am
Staring right into your eyes
Hearing your acknowledgment
Feeling you reading my spirit
Under your breath, I see you
Eyes that trace my soul
Ink that stains your heart
As hard as I try
I don't think you will truly feel my spill
know the skies I come from
Nor the realm Im bourne into
Im a ghost

All the praises Ive gave
Gestures Ive made
Dont mean a thing anymore
But thats okay, Im dead anyway

What it seems Im this breeze
Hollow and invisible
To the naked eye
I know you felt me
Just swept right by you
But go on thinking its nothing
For Im nothing
Just an apparition
Haunting this place
Im a ghost

Part II

The beginning (Ghost)

It dosent matter
Always been a loner
No one ever came over
Never was I part in a circle of friends
Not even a tight bond
Just invisible, hollow wind
Ever since I was a kid
Ive been a ghost

Sitting out my front porch
Written my first song
Singing it to myself
Soothing my big empty

Roaming the neighborhood and alleyways
All alone, searching for myself
Remembering when I was just a boy
Going as far as I could
Barely hearing moms voice
Calling into the distant
Like some past beckoning me
Running back as fast as my little feet would allowed me
A sheet strapped to my back
Arms extended out
Flying home, Im superman

Finding myself singing

Sitting outside in a cold sunny day
Looking for a getaway
Driving fast in a car
Further away from where I am
Im just this brezeey invisible kid
Nobody to carry me around
Wanna leave this place here
Be somewhere else and someone else
Driving faster in my car
No one's looking out for me
Im just a ghost
Whats the purpose of existing here
Just disappear off the face of the earth
Never will you ever see me agin
