Dreams
Your memory haunts my dreams at night
thoughts of what could have been
I yearn for you
my ravenous hunger has grown stronger
with an insatiable thirst
I drown myself in the words you have written
feel your heart beat against my chest
can still taste each unspoken word from your lips
as the fire of your caress surrounds me
I awake
only to drift into another dream
like two converging rivers
you flow back into my arms
opening the window to my soul
I am forever haunted by the thoughts of what could have been

You’re so right Mags! I think we all at some point ponder on the past and wonder about the “what could have been”. It’s not a bad thing to ponder, but the obsession can lead to problems if not moved past. Thanks as always sweetheart for stopping in, I have missed you!
