This Bed
I'll lie with you
In this bed
If you promise me
That I'll find truth when I wake
While you lie
I'll sleep
And pretend that
I feel secure in this place
I long for truth
But oh, my silent heart
Will never call out
Nor fuss
Tears will fall
While you sleep
And I lie
In this bed
Honest tales told
From the liquid of my soul
That only ever flows
Whenever you can't see
And you say you love me
That you understand
But you don't, you just lie
In this bed

Well yes, most of them are personal reflections. I'm not quite sure how one would write from anything else. My inner self guides me and I'm compelled to follow its direction. I guess the hope is that someone finds meaning in some of them, maybe. And if not, simple enjoyment is enough for me, which it sounds like you are getting. And I appreciate that so much. I'm glad you like reading. Thank you for taking some time to comment.
