Time for change

I know, I know
he’s done something like this before,
but it’s time to wave goodbye
to the old fashioned pen and paper.
 
I’ve wasted twenty minutes
on teaching this thing
to only apply the capital letter syndrome
when I tell it.
 
Before I got that out of the way
I was stirred from my position
by the shit-eating students
kicking over each and every
wheelie bin
down my street.
 
A new approach
and my fingers are far from graceful
across the keys;
I keep having to go back.
 
I used to leave the words undone;
they were completely forgotten
until someone like you
brought them up again.
 
Well, whatever;
my mild annoyance
is little of your worry.
Still, I’ll press on
and finish a few more
this way.
