Composite Thoughts....(Of Him)

I think it was his eyes...

It had to be...
Those deep probing orbs of hazel.

Nana's eyes looked like that

So full of pain
so full of love
So... determined

No body I ever met
had eyes like her...

Till I saw him.
sitting seeming mesmerized
by the spider spinning a web
just above him...

The way he watched it...
So intently...
So full of genuine awe...

I think that's what made
me love him...
Nobody I knew
gave half a damn...
about a spider...

No one I knew ...
gloried over the sheer
artistry of a web...

No one I knew...

smiled like he did
Spirit so warm...
It illuminated his entire face

He was like...
No one... I knew
Thats why I loved him

Secretly...I swallowed my feelings
Like a child stealing a twinkie

As I licked the sweetness of him
from the corners of my mind
Like cream from the corner of my mouth...

excited...and well satisfied
To never let him know...

Knowing...has a way of spoiling everything..
Just ask Adam... and Eve about that one

And ,well...
That was so long ago...
when sweet secrets such as this
held power...
and mystery...

Now...a secret admirer is nothing more than
a Tweet or Twitter away from Facebook recognition

Yet I remember him...
like yesterday...

Innocent...and brave...
wearing my Nana's eyes
And a
warriors cheekbones...

He was a Brilliant Mind...
Suttle and Brooding...

Rare...and Magnificent
Like A Siberian Tiger

He... was my special place
Inside my thoughts...
The place I ran to
when the world...
was too ugly

He was ...the purest image of kindness
I ever knew...
rolled up into one face
and one beautiful pair
of eyes...

I think...
My Composite Thoughts Of him
are the only reason
I still
Believe

In Love
