blood, sweat, and tears(revelations)

the flame that burned so bright,
now flickers in the shadows.
the structures we built, to last for eternity,
now fall into ashes.
you can easily take someone out of a situation,
but it's harder to remove that memory.
you can apologize your entire life,
but the sin you committed lives forever.

people set out with negative intentions,
not aware of the outcome.
but for the moment you feel your action is justified,
until your world stops turning, and bursts into fire.

I created a life and an image for myself,
that I now hate with all my heart.
I've made many mistakes,
and paid for them with my blood, sweat, and tears.

I bled in a mental struggle where I lost my best friend.
I sweated, working my way back to those whom I loved.
I let my emotions take control, and now I hurt the one I loved.
now she probably hates me, and my eyes bleed tears.

and now as i sit upon my throne, or wear my my crown of thorns.
I remember how I hurt you, and wish I could burn it all.
