Rebirthing
There's an absence of genius here.
I feel the poison seeping into my veins...
It's just a replication of imitation,
but permanence still bares its stain...
I've got a thirsting anticipation,
to cleanse these filthy abrasions.
I'm fighting for sanity, because it's the missing piece to my equation.
Day after day, the words begin to decay.
They've lost the feeling,
the warm roll of the tongue.
I'm striving to grasp reality,
but the drugs they have me strung...
Remedy? Or civil imprisonment..
Freedom? or an imaginary cell.
Baby you can hide the raging storms inside,
Until your eyes begin to swell.
But when the flood waters rise,
the blue skies they will fade.
And when you cut tomorrow's ties,
Your heartbeat, it will evade.
