The War of the Heavens

Heaven's War commenced in explosions
thunder and lightning
in open heavenly portals
doors opened from the sanctums
of fiery winged angels
swords sheathed from scabbards
winds of awful velocity swept
as they unfurled their gigantic wings

the whistling of displaced air
screamed through the universe
as millions traverse the darkened sky
Michael and his angels
dove unto their foe, a boiling mass
Led by the lordly dragon, Lucifer
who also fought with his angels,
flying his mighty vassal

The archangel,swooped into the mass
screamed his dismay at impaled angels
spirits returned to the Father
by the minions of Lucifer
Archangels healer Raphael manifested
harbinger Gabriel, Uriel angel of light  
Camael, with the fiery sword
lend their hands to their brother
Micheal the Warrior

With Lucifer, stood his brothers
Beelzebub, Pythius, Belial and Asmodeus
Merihem, Abaddon and Astaroth
they came with their own soldiers
millions upon millions
clashing in their might
their countenance in angelic beauty
matched their fury

As the Angels and Demons
Fought for the dominance
of the universe
Puny man fought their battles
born of greed and need
to proclaim their superiority
over their brothers...
And earth mirror heavens.
