Scared To Believe
Scared to hope, scared to actually,finally believe
That this one just might be for real
That he will be the one not to leave
How many times before have lies caused me to reel?
Scared of feeling such pain once again
I don't know how to let people close
I don't even remember how to let good people come in
With all my warnings, and all my bluffs
Rarely do good people knock anymore
So when they do I tend to run and hide the secret stuffs
So here I am once again at the door
Hand on the knob about to open it wide
So is there an angel or monster on the other side?

Everything we do comes with a level of fear
As long as its on your terms then less the fear
Sounds cruel to dictate but eases the fear
and anxiety

Place our trust and hopes etc in the hands of anyone else and we're in for a lot of pain...and maybe that's the lesson this life wants to give us ;)
On the other side...usually there is someone as scared and scarred as we are.

Fuck it, it's YOU on the near side. I take a breath before opening any door. Never enter the unknown out of breath. Come out of it in the same shape you came in, if you're lucky enough. Or fast enough.
