Rain Flower..........( for Yaya)

" .....with eyes as black as coal that look down in my soul
And starts a fire there and then I lose control
I have to beg your pardon
I'm going to pick that rose
and watch her as she grows
in my garden ...."
 Ben E. King
There is a flower that blooms
(…....forgiven cliche's about fragrances and perfumes)
The smell is divine
and this flower is one of a kind
It grows somewhere along the gulf coast
down where warm gusting breezes blow
and the bright sun shines.........
…'s brilliant rouge captivates the eyes
and completely blows ones mind
It's regal, soft petals are frothed
with rich wet beads of morning dew
A flower so sensual and alluring
it's presence leaves you feeling
so alive
so brand new
Filled with nectar so sweet
it's elegance and splendor
summons great kings and queens
to bow at thy feet..........
….....humbly I taste your medley
 I eat of your
pagan, passion fruit
the inquisitive botanist
in search of the genealogy
of such a curiously, intoxicating brew..........
…....or perhaps, I'm just a worker bee,
my destiny
the seductive pollination of beautiful you

Authors Note- (Well brother Ben E. King and Sister Aretha Franklin stirring up stuff in my musical mind this morning.  This is for my *Yaya*....we need some happiness today and a little "cross pollination" won't hurt one bit)
