Paranoia

I have the feeling I'm not alone
It must be late, I'm getting on edge
Working here is becoming too stressful
I can't focus, can't shake this feeling
My shift's almost over, then I'll be safe
I can feel someone's eyes, staring
But,somehow, they disappear as I look behind
I'm being watched, but I don't know by who

I'm driving home, but still have the feeling
I look in the rear-view mirror, checking the back
I turn on my radio, killing the silence
I speed up, hoping to get home quicker
I'm rushing to my door, looking back as I do
My hands shake as I unlock my door
I rush inside, slamming the door behind me
I quickly lock it, looking out my window, hoping no one saw

As I cook my dinner, I turn around, checking
I eat slowly, always checking, looking around
I close my blinds, hoping it will help
If I can't see them, they can't see me
Yeah, that's better, now I'll be safe
But, what if they're already IN my house?
Hiding in the shadows, watching
I'll turn on my lights! No dark, no place to hide

I rush all around, flipping the switches
My lights are on, but I know they're still here
I turn around, looking at.....nothing
My hands are shaking, my...my mind is racing
The shadows have moved, into the corners
Rain beats down, adding to my nervousness
Knock-Knock!I jump, alarmed by the sound
Knock-Knock!I can't answer it, it could be them!

I hear them asking for...for something, but it's too quiet
They.....They just want to get me
Knock-Knock!Just leave me ALONE!
I rush down stairs, rushing to the peep hole
My porch, it's.....it's empty
The knocking must have come from.......inside
I'm shaking now, filled with fear
The closets! I must open my closets!

I run from each room, opening every door
No place to hide, no place to watch
I turn quickly.......still nothing
I look toward my bed, noticing the space under it
They could be under my furniture!
I quickly flip all my furniture, until there's no space
There are no more places for them to hide
Now, I 'll be safe

Ring-Ring!I jump again, by the sudden sound
Ring-Ring!My phone is ringing, it's Them!
Ring-Ring!I can't answer it, they'll find me!
Ring-Ring!I wait nervously as the sound dies
I breathe out as it doesn't ring again
They can't get me now! Not if I just resist!
Ring-Ring!No,No,NO! Why me? I did nothing wrong!
Ring-Ring!Why are they doing this to me?

Ring-Ring!Stop calling me!
Ring-Ri~The ringing stops as I smash my phone
No phone, no more calls
Now I must be safe
I turn on my t.v hoping for distraction
I can't sit still, they could get me
It turns straight to static, they're messing with me!
I scream as I unplug the set

I'm losing it, I..I can't.......sleep
They could GET me
The knocking, it's back, with more voices
They are getting others, they want to get me!
They say they only want to help, but I KNOW it's just a lie
They tell me it's only paranoia, that no one's trying to get me
It's been three days, since they started watching
I've destroyed everything in my house, but I'm still NOT safe

I have blocked all doors, covered all windows
If I can't escape, They can't escape
I will be able to stop them from watching, forever
I turn around, still no one's there
My lights, they.....they are flickering
Bang!Bang!They.....they are trying to get in!
I scream at them, begging them to leave
Bang!Bang!My house shakes as they continue

I turn around, again only emptiness
They...they just want to get me, but I won't let them
I'll be safe soon, I'll be free
Their sounds, their voices are getting louder
They're always saying they want to help
But I already know how to be safe, how to get away
If.....if I'm not alive, they can't watch
I look behind, still no one, but at least I'll be free
