On a road's ends
hang in the air
a hue, soft as the smoke in your eyes
like words of sleet and coal
burning frozen, freezing hot
hang, like forgotten crime
a serenade to Death
as its shadow creeps upon our minds
and devours our souls
count your sins, no more time
the walls are closing in
now there's no more words to say
no more dreams to crash and burn
count your sins, don't confess them
heaven's gates are closed to us
take your light and leave your past behind
we're leaving here tonight
we knew it'd boil through
Just didn't know what to do
saw it coming but I'm too scared to ask
just put on another mask
Let go of tomorrow
just fall apart
No hope for the sorrow
in the air that we breathe, nothing's ever as it seems
the sky cracks, scarlet rain
and once more
we're shattering
{it's okay
we had it coming
this is where the road ends}
Let go of tomorrow
just fall apart, with me
No hope for the sorrow
in the air that we breathe, nothing's ever as it seems
the earth shudders, gives way
ash to ash,
we're coming home
a hue, soft as the smoke in your eyes
like words of sleet and coal
burning frozen, freezing hot
hang, like forgotten crime
a serenade to Death
as its shadow creeps upon our minds
and devours our souls
count your sins, no more time
the walls are closing in
now there's no more words to say
no more dreams to crash and burn
count your sins, don't confess them
heaven's gates are closed to us
take your light and leave your past behind
we're leaving here tonight
we knew it'd boil through
Just didn't know what to do
saw it coming but I'm too scared to ask
just put on another mask
Let go of tomorrow
just fall apart
No hope for the sorrow
in the air that we breathe, nothing's ever as it seems
the sky cracks, scarlet rain
and once more
we're shattering
{it's okay
we had it coming
this is where the road ends}
Let go of tomorrow
just fall apart, with me
No hope for the sorrow
in the air that we breathe, nothing's ever as it seems
the earth shudders, gives way
ash to ash,
we're coming home
