ridin the bus lines
dust in the road
bag full of heartache
carry my load
raftin the river
roundin the bend
ain’t got a lover
ain’t got a friend
banned from the limelight
thrown outa bars
bouncing off moonbeams
& hangin on stars
hummin a song made
of sorrow’s refrain
weepin the tears that
are lost in the rain
shout at the darkness
the echo will call
the higher the mountain
the harder i fall
i’m cold & i’m lonely
there’s no one to blame
write out a poem
& set it aflame
the world is flat
i have walked to the end
ain’t got a lover
ain’t got a friend

John. the 3rd n' 5th stanza's in particular grabbed my heart strings.
