Decay
upon the ground a reeking corpse
decaying
through a hole in my soul
I can see the shadow of death
casted from a light that does not exist
a figure of black moves
across a blackened plane
with seamless organic motion
the blackest of black
as seen only through the periphery
I can feel the creeping darkness
gather in my eyes
this is where the light goes to die
as I inhale
I can taste the lights decay on my tongue
I scoff
and the rancidness of death
dances in my mouth
a refracted thought that dies
before it reaches fruition
becomes a memory
of something that never occurred
