The Dark Heart of Night II

Beast, in my dreams you come
and overtake any and all of my will,
you fill me with yearnings
that cannot possibly fulfilled.

Demon lover, how much passion can I give
and how much will you take?
How much is enough for you to live
or so much for me that I finally break.

You extricate every nuance of desire
and unbridled emotion that castigate,
then you mix it with lethal doses of ire
creating a loathsome passion I love to hate.

Cloaked in indigo darkness you come, fire and ice,
brutal yet seductive you take my warmth, the joy in my life;
you leave me barren, devoid of all happiness
struggling, just to survive.

My beast, my demon lover, truly my dark heart of night...
