Street Tragedy

The tragedy in our streets is lack of solutions,
our yourth is is a violent revolution
bodies, dropping, it seems to be no stopping,
this trend that ends in friends against friend,
family becomes foes cause they are trying to live by the street code,
That street life,
they don't see the strife
thinks it ends in riches, start studded rings and cars,
I'm telling you even as I'm dropping these bars
They out there gearing up for wars
plotting the next course
my heart goes out cause they living this curse
all I see is a long line of cars leading with the hearse,
Cause in my hood they acting a fool
minimal provocation to pull out that tool
peace rallies, marching, nothing
is keeping these lil niggas from dumping
Like a phoenix can we rise from the ashes
stop our youth from these these deadly matches
I believe it's not a lost cause
just pause take a step to the side
Is this hopeful wishing
As a race are we not capable of winning
My heart is in shatters
why do they feel taking a life don't matter
They would rather hear the click clack clatter of that gun when the hammer pops
knowing they have ample time before someone calls the cops
Hood to scared to tell so how do we prevail?
How can our youth excel if they are constantly under this
death spell?
